Lahore: A Lahore sessions court has extended the interim bail of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of the Punjab Assembly Saqib Chaddar and his wife, Samira Chaddar, in a case involving alleged harassment and death threats against actress Momina Iqbal.
During the latest hearing, the court directed the investigating authorities to continue their inquiry and adjourned the matter until July 28. Both the MPA and his wife appeared before the court through legal counsel and sought an extension of their interim bail, which was granted by the judge.
The case stems from a complaint filed by actress Momina Iqbal, who alleged that she had been subjected to harassment, intimidation, and threats. Police have been investigating the allegations, while the accused have denied any wrongdoing.
Legal proceedings are expected to continue as investigators gather evidence and present updates before the court. The next hearing is likely to determine the future course of the case based on the progress of the investigation.
